Reykjavik City Tour + Golden Circle Drive

Another sunny but icy day with extreme winds. Went on a 2.5 hour tour to see the main sights of Reykjavik:

The Old Harbour..... not really tempted to go whaling.

This building below is Hallgrímskirkja, a Lutheran church and one of the tallest buildings in Iceland. The interior was very simple and striking with a small but very colourful stained glass window.

White church at the President's house

'Viking' ship

Then we did the 6-hour Golden Circle tour after lunch.

Gullfoss waterfall! It may look beautiful but in this photo I was being sprayed with water and suffered a killer earache from the cold.

This is a volcanic crater where Björk once performed.

Final dinner back in the city

  1. What an experience... had no idea they would have such imposing buildings there! Trust your ear recovered now, and all the best. Love xx
