Cultural Institutions of Oxford Road (for £0)

Manchester Museum RAWRRRRRRRRRR
then Whitworth Art Gallery for the mind-blowing Dark Matters (Shadow_Technology_Art)exhibition. The Kiss video by R. Luke DuBois features 50 iconic kisses from cinematic history and re-animates them. But my favourite was the installation by Brass Art..... "Looming figures and monstrous fusions invoke an immediate affiliation with the nineteenth century phantasmagoria. A simple, travelling light source casts a spinning cavalcade of shadow around the walls and ceiling." Unfortunately I can't find any photos to show you but it was the most beautiful and frightening piece of art I have ever experienced and I am sure I will be drawn back soon.
