On Thursday I booked a bargain £6 return bus trip to Liverpool (only 55 minutes from Manchester). We spent most of the day at Albert Dock, or more precisely, the Rene Magritte exhibition at Tate. He was one of my favourites from my study at school and it had a fabulous range of his work. Robert Therrien: Smoke Signals was also cool.

It was so incredibly windy and miserable that I thought I was going to be blown into the Mersey. After lunch at Cafe Rouge and a stroll through the shopping street we headed back to Manchester. The wind stole my hat but I reclaimed it.
I want to go back and fangirl over all the Beatles things.
