Glasgow

OFF TO THE HOST CITY OF THE 2014 COMMONWEALTH GAMES & HOME OF FRANZ FERDINAND & PRIMAL SCREAM -
ARR GLASWEGIAN TOWN! ! !

First stop was the Gallery of Modern Art. The You, Me, Something Else sculpture exhibition by local artists and Alasdair Gray works were the highlights.

A little unsure as to how to explore the city on foot, we joined a sightseeing bus tour to maximise our time. We crossed River Clyde on the 'Squinty Bridge' to see some pretty awesome architecture around the Science Centre and BBC Scotland.

Next was the vibrant Byres Road in the West End..... wish we had time to get off and explore Ashton Lane.

We had time to whiz around Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - note the floating heads and Elvis.

But most importantly, there was an AC/DC exhibition! 'Twas the loudest museum I have ever been to.
