YORK IS BEAUTIFUL! Last week I visited the walled city, founded by the Romans in 71AD!
Oh just a 15th century pub, no biggie.
Waited patiently for the Jorvik Centre to check out the Vikings!
A SHOP THAT ONLY SELLS CAT THINGS.
The best thing about York, apart from the cat shop, is the epic York Minster - a Gothic cathedral and one of the largest in Northern Europe. We climbed up the 275 steps of the tower which doesn't sound like much, but I can assure you it was a steep, spiralling, oh-so-claustrophobic experience.
But worth the view!
After lunch at Mr Chippy and window shopping along the Shambles, we finished the day at the National Railway Museum. THOMAS! SHINKANSEN!
My only disappointment was that I didn't get to eat Yorkshire pudding.
