Road Trip Day 5 - St Ives to Bristol to Cardiff

After two lovely nights it St Ives it was time to farewell the south-west Cornish coast and start heading north again. With a fairly daunting drive to Cardiff ahead of us, we made our first morning stop at Exeter, an historic city in Devon.

Exeter Cathedral, founded in 1050.

Next stop was Bristol and we excitingly drove over the very impressive Clifton Suspension Bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed in 1864.

We explored the cultural sites Bristol had to offer, including the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and the incredible Royal West of England Academy which is home to the most eclectic collection of art I have ever seen - and every piece is for sale!
